The stars aligned...
on Sunday, November 26, 2017, when, at the ripe young age of 70, I recorded my first true double on a pair of ringneck pheasants.
I've shot a few one rise/right barrel, second rise/left barrel, but this is my first verifiable both-birds-in-the-air-at-once, that I can recall anyway. It didn't hurt that I happened to be carrying my Trojan 16ga at the time, so I'm looking forward to receiving my doubles pin, as I've coveted one ever since I knew they existed. :):):):):):) |
Congratulations!

Awesome, it's a good year for doubles!!

Good goin'. I appreciate your report because I once had two in the air, killed the difficult shot to the right and almost casually swung left to the real easy one---and missed.

Congratulations!
My first, and only double on woodcock, was with a Trojan too, a twelve gauge. . |
Congratulations Phil!
I guess the Trojan is a magic wand. My doubles pin came when a hunting buddy handed me his 16ga Trojan and told me to try it. |
Great shooting Phil!! Would love to get a double with one of my parkers.
I did shoot a grouse double one year with a Rizzini 16 OU, and another with a Ugartechia 28 SXS |
