Well at least I know they are around , found this pile while hunting today in New York with my DH today.

Found this in an aspen clearcut in the UP--must have been eating prunes!!

How do you know this from Shinola?

Seriously Jim, how nice it is that you live in an area where you can go grouse hunting and still find grouse. I grew up in periods of grouse abundance and now must travel about 800 miles to really get into some decent grouse hunting like I had when I was a younger man. I go to houseman's every year and camp out in the back of the parking lot. I hope to meet you this year if you go. Try and look me up

Will do ,I plan on being there Thursday thru Saturday. I do have to drive 2+ hrs to find birds, there used to be many birds where I live ,last one I saw was about 14 years ago. But at least I can still find birds within driving distance.
