Don't give up right away! Cut barrel update.
 

I have been posting about my GH that had been cut from 28" to 26 5/8". I knew it had been cut but was surprised to find it extremely off on POI. Upon further investigation it looked as though the poorly re-laid ribs were only a short section. On a hunch I returned to the Smith that checked MWT and we decided on taking it to 26" to see how it looked. Well, it looked a lot better. I got a chance to test it from a rest last weekend and was pleased to find the right barrel dead on and the left barrel maybe a few inches left still. I didn't count shot but I would say right barrel is a little more open but both should be fine for grouse woods!
