An Open Note....
I was going to clutter up the existing thread, but wanted to rather post this in a new thread....
The last few days has been somewhat "exciting" with all the e-mails, PMs and such I've received. I believe I've replied to all that have contacted me. First - I want to apologize to all, on behalf of this Forum and its Members, to any person, Lee specifically by reference - in the unwelcoming manner in which a few chose to reply to your posts. Frankly, we are a Forum of gentlemen and gentlewomen. Our first priority should be to welcome all new folks to this forum. Period. For that, I re-wrote and put up a thread that was originally authored in 1998 and has seen the growth of another one of my firearm sites in good stead for over a decade: Forum Decorum... I think it's appropriate for this forum as well as we evolve, grow and become a "community". To Lee and and all, my thanks for reading - and again - my apologies. John |
John, I just finished reading your Forum Decorum and would encourage everyone to read it.
Very well thought out and written John - Thanks Dean |
Gentlemanly and Ladylike Discussions
Thank you John; that was very nicely done. When the original BBS began there was a discussion about this; many of us hoped that the decorum could be similar to that which would have occurred if we had been discussing these things as the dinner guests of Charles Parker.
Best, Austin |
Just wanted to bring this back to the top for a little while because of today's very unfortunate series of posts . . . once again, with apologies to those offended parties.

Thank you Mr. Dunkle(and Mr. Romig for bringing it back to the top). The last few days are again related to the passion you guys have for your Parkers. Passion is a good thing. Could be likened to little boys with their toys? In a positive way. smiles.
