Tower Pheasent Partridge Pigeon loads

1 Attachment(s)
Well to be more exact Pheasent , Partidge , Pigeon loads for Brutus . It appears an 8 gauge is okay in WVA so if I’m able to attend the January shoot I’ll drag Brutus along . Be kinda neat to smack down a couple of their high flying pheasents with the brute . Loaded so far a box of 1 3/4 ounce #6’s pushed with 36.5 grains of Universal Clays . Think next week I’ll load another box of #6’s and perhaps a box of #4’s .

This place isn’t to far from Winchester VA . Actually closer to Berryville VA and within a few miles of the Summitt Point race track .

Turkey hunting with an 8 gauge is the bomb

I’ve got a cousin that lives and breathes to hunt the gobble birds . He was out at the club a month or two ago on Tuesday night and id just shot a round of trap with Brutus . Think I talked him into calling a bird in for Brutus in the spring .

My club in northern Baltimore county has these tower shoots monthly and a driven bird shoot, which simulates an English driven shoot, 3 or 4 times during the season. We are a RSA (regulated shooting area) and it is legal.

If any PGCA members would like to participate in one please PM me.

What does “regulated shooting area” entail ? Does that mean 8 gauge optional ?
