The Powder Gods Return
I had a fellow just sell me some powder at a greatly reduced price !
I got an unopened 8 pounder of VV N-160 , an unopened 8 pounder of IMR-4350 , an unopened 8 pounder of IMR-8208 and about 6 pounds of Promo in an 8 pound container . And it averaged out to about $13 a pound . The Powder Gods are looking over me again . I use a goodly amount of IMR 4350 and 8208 . The N-160 I've never tried before but I see no problem in having something to use it in . As to the Promo that's a different issue but I doubt again if I'll have a problem finding something I can burn it in  |
I wish the gentleman had brought an unopened 8 pounder of H-110 or W296
My 44 MAG's and 410's would have appreciated it I'm sure :rotf: |
The Promo is a shotgun powder, what most of us use here on a shotgun forum. I'm sure you'll find a use for it.

While I’ve not tried VV N-160 in anything before it appears it oughtta do pretty well in my 6.5-06 and 270 . And based on the loads for the 270 WSM it looks like it oughtta work pretty well in the 6.5 Sherman Short I am strongly thinking about building .

tell us about the 6.5 sherman short....charlie

Promo is a direct replacement for Red Dot. You could burn it in either 12 or 10 gauge.
