Harry's shooting continues to progress. Yesterday he moved up to a 20 gauge and shot 25. Today he shot 50 and even got 3 out of 4 at one station. All with a Parker

That is great Mills!!! I am sure it was nice to get out to the range and and have your son shoot his 20 well. Does his gun have a straight stock...I like it!
My oldest is 8 and I can't wait to do the same in a few years. Glad you two had a great day! |
That is great stuff Mills! I know you are proud of him!
|
It has a straight stock and single trigger.
|
Few more years Mills he'll be ready for one of your 10 gauges .

Mills you will never regret the time spent with your sons. It will pay dividends for the rest of your life. Had a BIL ask how I raised 2 great kids and told him spend every minute you can with them. Also gave some credit to his sister too.All kidding aside they will always be your children but they will also be your best friends.

That boy is a force of nature!! Turkeys beware!

Mills - Have you checked his eye dominance? Starting them out with the correct eye alignment will pay dividends down the road. A friend of ours (National NSCA Champ, 2014) realized that altho his son was right handed, he was left eye dominant. Started him as a lefty, and the kid became an All American. If that would happen to be the case with your so, converting him to shoot right handed would give him access to a lot more RH configured guns.
BTW - I'm right handed, but LH eye dominant. Have had to shoot with left eye closed my whole shooting career. Am too old to change now. Do as I say, not as I do |
Way to go Mills. You are fortunate to have a place to shoot. All ranges around here are shut down. Going through clays withdrawal.
