Huntin buggies
 

After watching the video with Charlie Cleveland in the woods I think we need a thread about our huntin buggies with pics. Wadda yall thank.

great idea...the hunting buggy is next to a gun in respect to hunting...charlie

Hunting buggies ? ...I have a Ranger ,for the easy spots and the garden although I did use it to drag 500 lbs of Moose down over a little mountain this past Fall,it was no fun at all ,my cousin and brother hanging off the corners to try and keep me from rolling ...I won't do it again ,but we had no choice other than to eat it in there .

The Argo is the only one that's "man " enough to make to where the Ptarmigan are ,it's a horrible rough 4-5 hour trip ,the machine loaded to the gills,and three bird dogs trying to push you out ,what this machine has done would absolutely amaze,it's slow and very rough but very reliable and can haul a massive amount of gear.

Chris do you use it with tracks? I've be looking at a used one with only a 130 hours on it. Right now I use a Kaw. Mule which has be great (slow) for what we do but the ground clearance suck :eek:I've high centered it a few times, now I carry a Hilo jack just in case :rolleyes:

Well here's mine. It may look a little cityfied but believe me this ain't city.So far it has gone everywhere I have needed to go. I live in an agricultural area of cattle, chicken farming, timber land and country estates. My place joins 777 acres of timber land. I am now retired and have just gotten into turkey hunting this year. It has served me well so far .With a set of larger wheels with water in them on the rear it has hauled three deer and two people out of a pretty deep hollow.It was actually given to me but if I had known that we would enjoy it as much as we do I would have bought one a long time ago.I have some great neighbors that own larger tracts. They seem to understand my need to kill something. Gerald.
PS. I will bet we are going to see a great variety.

I'm kinda partial to my Kawasaki 750 Brute Force . This is the second of these I've had . This one is the same as the other I had except for fuel injection , which I like a bit better on cold mornings .

It's my buddy's rig ,and yes we have used it with tracks ...it's just as capable as a snowmobile with them on ,these can get high centered as well ... you need a good winch on this because if you do get it stuck there is no pushing it out ...period !.
There's a learning curve to driving one, if all you've ever driven was an ATV , but it don't take long to get the hang of it ,always do your maintenance and carry spare drive belts (don't ask how I know ).

if you hunt in ugly terrain ,this IS the machine.

My shooting buddy that passed two years ago had an Argo he putted around his farmette . The thing was a mule no doubt .

I have an eight wheel tracked Argo I use down here in the wetlands. This thing will go anywhere! I purchased mine with about 450 hours on it and had to rebuild the drive train as that is the drive train's useful life. I am considering selling it but know if I do will need it next duck season
