Some people have only hunted planted chukars on flat ground here are two pictures of one of the places we hunted for wild birds. This is typical of the terrain we found them in and very similar to where they live in India. Many of the ridges were accessible only by walking up from the bottom. I'll guarantee you will be in better shape at the end of the season than you were at the beginning. My two boys are in these pictures taken about 1990. There are at least two dogs that can't be seen that's why I went to a beeper collar on my Britt.

For me, with the exception of a sheep hunt or two, this is the hardest hnting physically in North America. Those damn “upside down” mountains are killers!!

A neighbor here in Fairbanks bought a small house in Oregon just so he would have a place to stay and hunt chukars out of.
