Drew, do you have any information on the guns used by the winners at the International Flyer Championship held at Kansas City from 1917 to 1941? I can guess that Mark Arie may have used a Marlin Pump in 1930, and Spencer Olin probably a Model 21 in 1933.

Drew Hause 01-17-2020 04:12 PM

No, I'm sorry I don't have much Dave.

This is Randy's image at Elliott's Shooting Park in 1931. Arie, Jenny, and Frank Hughes (at the 1924 Olympics) all used Smith guns.

The old shotgun with which Mark Arie has won thousands of dollars in trapshooting still is a moneymaker. The Champaign, Ill., veteran tied with two others for first place in the Flyer cup race at the Interstate Trapshoot Tournament yesterday and collected $96.60.
Arie was beaten in the shoot off by H. L. Cheek, Clinton, Ind.

His Marlin Model 28 hammerless trap gun, D grade which he received in 1914 and which he used in the 1920 Olympic Games?
