I am a new member, Rob Sanderson, who was recently passed down a Parker from 1919. It was bought by my great grandfather after he retired from the railroad as a gift for himself. The gun has not been fired in 50 years. It looks to be in good shape.
I wanted to go shooting with it on targets, any tips on getting her ready and anything else a new member should know at a high level.
Thanks

It would always be best to have the gun checked out to verify it is safe to shoot. I notice that the buttstock on the gun is not factory original. But it appears to be serviceable and would likely not be a concern from a shooting standpoint.

See Sandy Garrett at Northern Virginia Gun Works in Springfield, VA if you want to get your gun checked out. He's worked on several of my SxS shotguns.
