Colorado Merriam's

Saturday was cold, windy and about to snow when the birds left the roost...and they were all around me.

I was sitting quietly against a ponderosa when the birds left the roost and before I knew it I had two spitting and drumming behind me and a nice tom coming to my decoys. At 6:30 am I had my bird down but it took booth barrels of my Ithaca 16 M/F 28 inch barrels with Fiocchi 5 shot Golden Pheasant loads. Love this time of year in the turkey woods.
