Reloading recipes needed for 12g 2 1/2" shell!!

OK, I'm in the process of finding recipes for 12g 2 1/2" RST shells. I'm using PB powder with 7/8 and 3/4 oz of shot. Any recipes?

RST uses Cheddite hulls so look for loads using that component. If you can't find a published load, call the powder manufacturer and they can recommend one.

There are a few threads for 2.5" shells on this site. It would be nice to have a sticky since a lot of us reload 2.5" shells. This link http://parkerguns.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1589 is from 2010 and includes PB.

Thanks Ken! This gets me started!! I'll be loading 7/8 and 3/4 oz, so I can work down from that powder charge.

For an ultra-light load for my twist barreled hammer guns, I use 20grains of PB, Win209 primers, HCD24 wad and 7/8oz. For roll-crimped Cheddite hulls, I use a Piston Skeet wad, everything else is the same. I would say, an unscientific "felt recoil" analysis is that these are on a par with Maxi-Lites. They break the birds coming off the tower at Hausmanns, so they can't be too weak.

In my Federal paper shells I use 16.7grs of Promo [same as Red Dot] , a CB-2100 wad - it's a 7/8oz wad, and it rolls nice. Breaks clays nice. If I were hunting I'd add another grain of powder.
