What gauge?

Could anyone tell me any info about a parker shotgun with a serial number 8847? Do not have the barrel. All I have is the stock and trigger gaurd. Thanx

Brian Dudley 04-27-2020 10:21 PM

The stock and guard you have, shown in another post you started, is not for a Parker. It is for an LC smith. You may want to inquire with the smith group on that.

Parker Brothers serial number 8847 is a STRAIGHT GRIP 12 gauge underlifter with 32” twist steel barrels and your stock and triggerguard is NOT FOR THAT TYPE OF PARKER BROTHERS SHOTGUN. I would tend to agree with Mr. Dudley’s opinion as to the type of shotgun your pictured stock is for. End of story

Thank you!!! Finally...

[Edited by John Dunkle - let's clean up the act, OK?]

Well based on your post and subsequent photos, it seemed inconsequential what 8847 was as those photos were not of a Meridan Ct Parker Bros. Shotgun of any confufuration

Brice Hamann 04-28-2020 12:08 AM

Maybe, but I know CHP on the trigger gaurd is Charles Parker. End of story

Jim DiSpagno 04-28-2020 12:11 AM

It could be Christopher Harold Pendleton also or pardon me but have patience

Brice Hamann 04-28-2020 12:39 AM

Lol....Right

Jim DiSpagno 04-28-2020 12:44 AM

Have a good evening Brice

Charles Parker’s (founder of the Charles Parker Co of Meriden, CT) middle initial was NOT ‘H’.

In fact, he did not have a known middle name or initial.
