Looking for help on a "A3279"
I had a customer brought in a Parker Bro's SxS wanting to know what he had. He bought it from and estate because he liked the gun. What we know about the gun is:
S# A3279 (Mfg'd in 1874?) On the barrel lug there is a "S" No grading - is this before they put the grade on it? Where the barrel weight is to be stamped is a "cursive r, dot. L" The barrel has extractors. The barrels are Damascus Steel. It has a vent rib. As far as value, if the gun is pre grading how do you determine value? Everything I have is based in the grading... He took it to Cabala’s and they didn't know either. |
It would help if you could post pictures
Does it say "Parker". Or Parker brothers? |
I have never seen a "vent rib" on a hammer gun.
|
It said Parker Brothers...
|
I will get him to bring the gun back to the shop and get some pictures...
|
I would love to see a hammer gun with a vent rib. Show us more.
