Interesting Barrel flat Markings

I do not own this gun any more, but do not think the new owner would mind me showing some very interesting markings on the barrel flats, I know the barrel weight markings but what does the M stand for and the 20 stamped on the barrels, the gun is a 12 gauge, Gary

Gary, it appears that the barrels are Twist or Plain Twist and should have had a T with a crescent above and below it. I haven't seen a M in that position, much less an M with a W beside it. How long are the barrels on that lifter? 4 lbs., 14 oz. seems a tad heavy for a 2-frame gun... but then we have seen some unusually heavy barrels (for the frame size) that were simply struck more straight-walled.

Dean, I have to check I think 30 or 32" will look at my records to tell, The M & W I have not seen before. I have seen 11, 13 and such stamped on the barrels but not a 20, the gun seemed to not have been used very much considering its high condition, I would need to contact the new owner before posting any more photos, I respect his privacy, gary

I have an early Lifter for sale with a M+ (or Mt) stamped in the same position.

Jason these early guns have many mysteries, that we have yet to decipher, that is what makes collecting and shooting these Parkers so much fun, Gary
