12ga Lefever

Got a chance to buy a H grade 12ga with 32" damascus barrels no ejectors. In decent shape but stock has been refinished at home.Gun was hunted but thought it would be a good gun to play with.I see they are not real money makers but thought it would be a good gun to learn from for future purchases. And have some fun hunting with it.

Oh the s/n is 31xxx.I'm thinking a good project to learn from.

Bob, I believe you will find the Lefever a joy to shoot. Be sure to have it looked over by a good smith and for sure get the barrel wall thickness checked. Lefevers generally had thicker barrel wall thickness than some of the other well known makers, but any 110+ year old gun could have been "cleaned" up bit at some point. Have you measured the chokes yet?

I did not get it yet wanted to look into them a little more. The barrels look fine and are thicker than most as is the weight of the gun.I am meeting with the seller first of the week to make a deal.
