Central Pa SxS update

Last year was a total washout and last weeks forecast for this past Saturday wasn't looking good at the beginning of the week but the weather gods were smiling on us and the weather couldn't have been better. Partly sunny/cloudy and temps in the mid 70's.

We had 31 shooters attend from PA, MD, VA, NY, Del, and NJ. Met a few new shooters including Bill Marshall from Delaware who came up with his wife. Bill is a new SxS shooter who just bought his first two Parkers and was excited to have them checked out and shot.

We shot sporting clays in the morning and wobble trap and long bird in the afternoon. Rumor has it that Jent Mitchell was on fire. I was told he had a 80+ score on the SC course and he was high gun by a mile on the long bird shooting 7x10. The closest anybody got to him was 2x10. The long birds were a simo pair of battues coming from right to left and high up. All you saw was the edge until they turned face up and started to drop like a rock. We started at about 70yds with poor results so we cheated by moving up a little closer to about 60yds. Don't ask how many I broke:shock:

My thanks to Blue Ridge Sportsman's Club and to all that attended. Hope to see you next year.
