Hello all. i had seen the post on a Redhead takedown case. i have one in 32 inch that came with my 4E Ithaca trap. The inside has what appears to be another lined sleeve attached to the main divider. Is this normal for these cases?. mine is the only one I have handled. Have no clue what they look like other than mine. Thanks for any input. Matt k

The fabric sleeve is for a takedown cleaning rod; very common in LOM cases but usually don't last long due to fraying from the metal ferrules on the rods.

I just purchased a redhead case. It to has the small pouch but the top of the divider is not still attached so it slides back and forth. Is the top of divider sewn to the case or glued?

The dividers slide, I guess so they can adapt to the barrel/forend size?

I don’t know Phil. Deans appears to be sewn on each side

The barrel trays are loose in most LOMs to accommodate the barrels with forend attached and allow them to move vertically up and down. The higher grade ones have the trays sewn in place so it is important to measure the fixed vertical distance of the barrel compartment before you buy to be sure there is enough room to accomodate them with the forend attached.

Thanks Kevin
