Parker Repro cases . . . collectible?

By the price just realized at auction it appears that Parker Repro cases are in and of themselves becoming collectible. A pair of cases, one a single barrel case, the other a 2-bbl. case in unused condition brought $1000 plus the premium of 12%-18 1/2% . . . Mercy me .

That's more $$ than I've ever known them to sell at.

It's California. What else needs to be said.

They don't make them anymore....The factory no longer has the green felt, they did say they could make the same case with other color interiors. 800.00 single case special order.

I was a bidder briefly. Once it hit over $600 I was out. I was amazed what they sold for. I'm guessing the two barrel set case was the one that drove up the price.

It occurs to me that a Repro sold w/out a case would turn MANY a prospective buyer away in a heartbeat and would command a pretty hefty discount to sell the gun - so from that perspective..it makes sense. Although high, the realized price does not surprise me.

I saw them too but didn't participate - like Tom shared..I would have been out at around $600.00...but I don't need a case either.

I really believe the collectability of the Reproductions in general will prove to be much higher than some seem to think, especially long term.

If they were 28 gauge cases, I could see the price. If you need one, you have to pay the price. When there were many unoccupied cases for sale during the closeout, we bought them to use for other guns. It is only occasionally that they come up for sale.

What's the difference between a case designed for a 20-ga. Parker Repro and a case designed for a 28-ga. Parker Repro?

I believe the 28 cases are smaller and fitted to the 28
