I have come into a Parker side by side, S/N 7078, placing its manufacture in 1876. It's a 12 ga (frame #2) hammer gun. It has Stub Twist barrels with barrel weight of 5.2. Its a 'T' grade. This hammer gun is in original condition. Barrels outside show nice twist. No pitting of metal. Wood is beautiful. Nice silver accents, no checkering or fancy metal inlays. Beautiful Parker Bros script on sides of lock. All metal in excellent condition. Left barrel firing pin needs replacing. S/N 7078 matches on all 3 pieces engraved with S/N. Am interested in value. Owners are elderly and interested in selling it.

Sorry, the only digital camera in the house tonight is my wife's cell phone.

Brian sounds like a dandy i would like to have a stub twist gun. If you got the money to buy it it's worth what ever it takes to get it home. How about some pictures. good luck ch

Well, I have become very enamored of this gun. 30" barrels, and a great feel to it. Mounts naturally, better than my Charles Daly. I had hoped to get an idea of the value of the gun from the Parker site, but realize it's very hard to do without seeing it in person. I called Orvis in Manchester, VT, not too far from us, and will most likely end up consigning the gun to them. I am so struck by the quality of this gun, now about 140 years old. It is so tight and well built. What happened to American manufacturing? Thanks to all who looked. My best friend has his dad's Parker. I will share the site with him.

LOL - Coming out of the wood work!

Was talking to a good friend over the weekend about a classic boat, and we got around to guns. I told him about the Parker Bros 12 ga. He one upped me. He has his GGF 10 ga Parker Bros with hammers. It's a beauty!
