Hunting Markover this coming Sunday morning
Tom Jay, Brian Dunn and I will be pheasant hunting at Markover in Danielson, Conn this Sunday morning, Oct 1. We will be hunting over Tom's 2 english setters, Max and Lucy and over my setter, Sophie. At Markover there is a 6 bird minimum (Pheasant and/or Chukars or a mix) per shooter. Thus we will be hunting up 18 birds. My plan is to focus more on getting some nice pictures or all the setters on point and backing each other which is terrific to watch, than my own shooting. I'll post pics of the out and outcome afterwards. I'll close now by saying that anytime you can hunt birds over well trained pointing dogs is a blessing and good fortune. And the same is true when hunting with good friends who have the same beliefs.
