My 28 ga Repro shoots high
My 28 ga Repro shoots high consistently. I was recently at the point to sell it outright or swap it. I measured the lop and it's 14 inches from the trigger. I just happened to have a very nice all leather slip on recoil pad. With the pad on it the lop is lengthened to a point where I can throw the gun up to my shoulder with eys closed and find myself looking straight down the barrel! Problem solved. The stock is just too short for me. The slip on recoil pad solves that Problem. Going to shoot it on pheasants ar Markover this coming Sunday. For the life of me I don't know why the made this 28 with such a short stock. IMHO it should have been made with at least a 14 1/2 lop.the

they need more dac and dah for me. That is why i never bought one, my best for me lop is 13 3/4, when you have you hunting colder weather stuff on you are not going to have the same lop. i have heard that its harder to adjust to a lop ,ezer to adjust to a shorter lop.

By adding the slip on pad you will increase the drop at heel. And your cheek is probably father back on the stock.

The standard LOP for most American gun builders is 14". I think that is what they feel that is what fits the "average" shooter. Most of the repros I have measured were 141/4" to 143/8" and 13/8" at comb. They all shoot a bit high for most shooters.

Mine shoots perfect Allen! Nice to shoot a newer tight gun!

PR made different LOP options, DT and SST guns could have from 14 1/4 to 14 3/4 These are seen for sale fairly regular. I like 14 1/4 to14 3/8 on the DT-PG models and 14 1/2 to 14 5/8 with DT and English strait grip. 14 3/4 is a bit too long for me but they are out there. SXS Ohio

My DHE 28 ga lop is 14 inches. Too short for me but the added slip on pad solves that problem

Turns out that even with a slip on pad this 20 still is too high for me. I need more drop on the stock. I'd rather get the stock drop fixed if possible than sell it. It's a straight stock. No pistol grip. Can these stocks be be t down? Anyone know who best to address bending it down to increase the amount of drop? Please advise.

Disregard my above post as the question was answered previously in another post..I'll probably put this 20 up for sale.

My suggestion before you consider bending stock do a "search" here on the Forum and review the previous posts and discussion on stock bending. Just a suggestion.
