Parker Reproduction 2 barrel set forends

On Parker Reproduction 2 barrel sets does each set of barrels have its own forend or just one that fits both sets of barrels?

Dean Romig 02-02-2021 09:43 PM

The only two-barrel set I had, a 20 ga. DHE, had just one forend that fit both sets perfectly.

Thank you Sir. Was looking at a 12 gauge 2 barrel set but it has a single trigger. I want double triggers but are hard to find..

They all* had one forend for both barrel sets. At least for same gauge two barrel sets.

* the only case that I know of was in the event of 28/.410 sets. In that case there is a 28g forend and a 410 forend. Due to the extreme size difference in the tubes.

Are the barrels, forend, numbered to the receiver (all numbers matching)?

Dean Romig 02-03-2021 06:52 AM

Yes they are, all numbered alike.

Additional forends could be purchased after the fact. And in those cases, the forends will have no serial numbers at all. Usually this was the case for beavertails.

Not all. Although the vast majority of new same gauge 2-bbl. sets were typically furnished with just one forend, there were a few same gauge 2-bbl. sets that were furnished new with two forends. We talked about them in this thread:

Sure, an example of a beavertail and a splinter.

I was speaking of two splinters.

Sorry, I don't claim to be The Amazing Kreskin, or else I must have missed where you were speaking of two splinters.
