WIN 572

I have an 8 pounder of Winchester 572 coming . I suppose I'll find a use for it 😉

I hope so! I'm not familiar with that powder.

lots of loading data on the Hodgdon site

not much in the low pressure category

you could always get a 45acp and burn it up 6 grains at a pop :draw:

That's a new one on me. Is it a new or vintage powder?

Hmmmm I wouldn't mind another 1911 but no I'm not loading for pop pop pop pistol stuff . I saw one 12 gauge load that was down below 7000 with1 1/4 ounces shot . I may try that in some 10 gauge hulls in my Ithaca NID fluid steel gun . And if it doesn't seem to bad who knows .

Rick, I went to the page you posted but the " data " page wouldn't come up.

Paul, go to Hodgdon's site, hit the first 'Agree' then find the 'Reloading Data Center', 'Agree' again and you should be there. I have never used W572 but it looks like one of the newer high energy powders like Alliant Pro Reach etc. In the day I used many pounds of W571 for heavy loads in the 10 ga and the 12 ga.

Sorry Paul- forgot to check back on this thread -

Carl is correct - do the agree and scroll down to the reloading link

then you need to select shotgun and gauge - shell and such
