Stock question

Gentlemen,

will a 0 frame stock fit a 2 frame?

Thanks, chris

Absolutely not. Waaaay too small. The fact is even a #2 frame stock is unlikely to fit YOUR #2 frame Parker properly. all Parker stocks were hand fitted. You are unlikely to get a good fit on a used stock although it is possible. Besides frame size and grip style, you must also consider the type of wood. All Trojans used rather plain juglans nigra (eastern black walnut) and had flat pistol grip stocks.

Thanks for the reply Don. The original is nice black walnut with a little figure no checkering on the butt stock. The fore stock does have checking though. Does anyone know what a butt stock will cost approximately?

The buttstock should have checkering. Contact Wenigs or Show Me for a price. Another place is Sycamore Hill Designs in Victor, NY. They might be able to help you. They mostly do Ithacas but a Trojan should prove no problem for them. They cut their own black walnut. They did 2 Ithaca NIDs for me and a Remington m17 very reasonably and very quickly.
