parker magazine gun
 
I was looking at my book on old shotgun shells one of the boxes had for parker magazine guns on the shell box...never heard of a parker magazine gun before...this was in the encyclopedia of shotgun shell boxes on page 73 if you have a book to look at...charlie

I am not sure about that reference. I am sure it has nothing to do with Parker Bros.

The Parker Story does briefly tell about how James Hayes was at one point working on designing a pump action repeater for Parker. And a few mechanism drawings are shown, but that is it.
I have often wondered how far that endeavor got. Just ideas in Hayes’ head/on his not paper, or into any sort of prototype stage. I really wonder what the working package would have looked like for that gun.
