Not sure what it is made of. The Kreighoff people come to Forest City on a regular basis and Julia usually buys a hat, T-shirt or something from them.

Wish I’d hit the World Shoot thirty plus years ago when it was held at Forest City a few times .

They have big shoots all the time now. Now is the time to come see Forest City

Back thirty years ago I would say the biggest shotgun shoots were the World Skeet Shoot in San Antone or Forest City and the Grand American in Vandalia . I wanted to shoot in both back then , but the drive to compete like a lot of other things has left me .

Rich,

Sadly, I'm not coming to the Southern. When I can make it to a Parker get together I want to shoot with you again. I remember the last time like it was yesterday.

I'm sorry you"ll miss it I could use your advise for picking out our next Parker or Purdey:rotf: Hopefully another time.

Sorry you can't make it this year Harry hopefully next year? Maybe this summer (June) take a ride up to Wisc. and shoot with us at the Great Northern

Craig, the last two NSSA World Shoots at Forest City were in 1990 and 1992. I attended both and had a great time. I broke 539X550 both years and never missed a 20 gauge bird, my greatest feat in American Skeet. I may try to reenter the NSSA skeet game this year at the North South in Maryland. If you are still shooting, maybe you would consider shooting with us in June. It's not such a long trip for you.

Thanks for the offer , but the drive to shoot competitively has left me pretty much . Back when I “thought” I was decent at it 392-395 was a normal weekend . At that time I was stuck on 98 with the 410 . I was capable of getting a 100 with any of the other three on a semi regular basis , but I never could do it with the 410 . Many times I crushed 98 and flat out missed stopped or whatever on two . Not much fun coming out of the gate two down in the high overall and the big boys are clean :banghead:

First time I shot the North South we had a pretty decent squad . Rick Lawry ( I think that’s spelled correctly , he was a Canadian that was All American Team and had a clay target manufacturing business) , Ralph Petley (who needs no introduction) , Bruce Evans ( he and his wife at the time owned the old Bingham and Parks Club outside Winston Salem ) , my two man team partner John Hannah and myself . Lawrey won the 410 and if memory serves the HOA that weekend . My big claim to fame that weekend was out shooting Mayes in the 28 gauge , but then a whole bunch of folks outdid Mayes with the 28 that weekend for some unexplained reason he shot a 94
