When I crack open the barrel over the trigger mechanism is the serial number and a 1/4 of an inch to the right is the V.

Michael Scorsone 02-04-2014 05:37 PM

where the serial number is on the barrel you can see that with no problem but if there is any other markings they are hard to see.

Michael, 69754 is too early in Parker production to be a V (Vulcan) grade gun. Are you sure the V isnt a P?

Michael Scorsone 02-04-2014 08:40 PM

there is a V. I did find a patent date on the right of the trigger mechanism it is April 20 1915.

then something is not right here

a 1915 patent date should not be on a gun made in 1891

what part of the gun is the 69754 number on, and can you take the barrels off and let us know any other marks on the action and barrel flats

Michael Scorsone 02-04-2014 09:39 PM

69754 is on the action and the barrel. The action has the V and the patent date on it. The barrel has marks but I can not make them out.

I think pictures are the only way we will be able to help

unless there is a faint 1 in front of the 69754 that would be a 1914 gun roughly

what is marked on the top of the barrel rib?

Michael Scorsone 02-04-2014 10:26 PM

There is a number 1 on the barrel where the wooden foregrip would attach.

i assume that is on the lug on the underside of the barrels- that would be the frame size.

i think we need pictures when you can get them

Michael ,does your gun actually say Parker Brothers any where on the gun , it should be stamped so on each side of the receiver also on the top rib between the barrels ,is it possible it is not a Parker Brothers Gun but maybe a " Thomas Parker Double Gun or T. Parker or some such gun ? Not being smart but there are quite a few ""Parker ""guns out there that are not "Parker Brothers " guns ! Pictures are a must ! Best ; Russ
