my older brother and I just got back from an unguided hunt near Mountain Village, AK.

Great time !

Looks good. Just a question, at one time bulls had to be 50" or have 4 brow tines on at least one side. Is that still current?

Each GMU (game management unit ) has different regs, for both residents and non residents.

The zone were were in did not.

The 1st bull is 52 inches with 3 brown tines, my brothers is 55 wide.

Where there are antler limitations, it's more likely to be 50" or 3 brow tines; some areas require 4. These both look like nice healthy moose.

Very cool, would love to do that!

Looks like two happy brothers...before the task of getting those monsters out of the bush. Two great animals!

A friend of mine claimed "Do you know how-to ruin an elk (moose) hunt? "

"Pull the trigger".

It's all fun until you have to bring that thing out from the bottom of a bowl 3 miles from the truck

Great moose.

I don't dare show the wife that photo as she wants to get a BIG moose. I've looked at a Yukon hunt for her and the price has gone way up. About six years ago it would have cost about $19,000, we spent three weeks in Africa instead. Today it's looking more like $30,000. I think we'll go back to Africa.

Even unguided hunts now are getting close to 10K.

Crazy.
