Anyone recognize this gentleman
Looks to be a Jostam Anti-Flinch so the pic is at least late 20s

The W.R. Jorgenson Patent No. 1,156,293 which covers the Jostam Anti-Flinch pad was granted Oct 12, 1915, and the company catalogues say "Organized 1914." If one studies a number of Jostam Anti-Flinch recoil pads you find older pads which just have a Dec. 29, 1914, patent date that equates to J.S. Day's Patent No. 1,123,180, and the Oct. 12, 1915 date. Later versions of the pad included later patent datss that actually appied to the Jostam Hy-Gun, and the patent date for the Huntley sponge rubber pad which Jostam seems to have taken over/acquired after WW-I. I have found pre WW-I requests is the A.H. Fox Gun Co. records for the Jostam Anti-Flinch.

I'm not much of an engineer, but it would seem to me that the diagonal pillars in the pad would tend to throw the gun up into your cheek. I woulda thought they should have been oriented the other way

Looks like the Hy-Gun has 14', 16', and either 22' or 27'

Drew, does the name seem to be of the person in the picture? Also, where did the card come from? I couldn't find the name in the 1922 ATA members book, but I would look in more years if I had a state or area to concentrate on.

Thank you Bill, and yes I believe the name (which I can't read and so am unable to search in Sporting Life) is the shooter.
