PGCA Member Charles L Scott's story in DGJ
"A Parker Brothers 12 Gauge GH Damascus Shotgun" beginning on page 68 of the current issue (Winter 2013) of The Double Gun and Single Shot Journal, written and photographed by C. L. Scott is a very nice read and is very well researched and documented. I thoroughly enjoyed your story Mr. Scott and hope to see more from you in the future. Where in the Northeast Kingdom of VT do you and your setters hunt grouse? (notice I didn't ask where you hunt woodcock.... nobody tells where their favorite woodcock covers are!)
Best Regards, Dean |

Dean my favorite woodcock covers are in the Upper pennisula and the north central part of the state. :rotf: |
my favorite woodcock cover is the one on the west side off the curve of the dirt road 1/2 a mile from the county road that runs along the creek
I read that article last night, enjoyed it as well |

I would also like to praise Mr. Scott. I thoroughly enjoyed the article and it was very well written. I think it will hit home with the many shooter/collector types. Nice job.

Mr. Scott's article is very nice. Also do not miss J.E. Fender's article and pictures about Geoffory Gournet and his fabulous engraving.
|
Rich, I never flew grouse in the location you and Rick Losey mentioned. It's a terrific woodcock cover, though.
