Looking for any information on this Parker

I am reaching out to all of you to see if you might be able to provide any interesting information of this Parker and the original buyer.
This Parker was purchased by a friend and fellow Dove/pigeon shooter.
He was so excited the day he bought it bought but has been in the hospital ever since.
I ordered him a letter as a surprise but unfortunately due to medical reasons has not been able to read it. I would like to read him the letter when he is up to it and be able to expand on the details of the letter if possible.
There is a wealth of knowledge on this forum and would be most grateful for any help.

a quick search of Union Springs AL cemeteries

shows

I see ancestry.com has his death certificate - I expect you can find a lot more there

this took only a couple minutes of searching

you really just need to spend some time searching

you'd need to get the trial subscription to look into it more - but his local paper made many mentions of him -- it looks like he was a prominent citizen - I think you will find a lot if you dig

This sounds like a live pigeon gun. You might research in that direction.

I joined newspapers.com what a treat. Seems like Mr Walker enjoyed shooting pigeons, targets, bird hunting. Also found that he had a great rabbit dog by the name of Sport.
Back in the day the newspaper printed lots of short paragraphs about daily happenings with people in the town. An example might be Geo. H Walker had 9 close friends over for a Christmas eve dinner. Then giving a full description of the fine food. Really gives you a true feel of the person you are researching. Also some of the surrounding articles give you a feel of the time period.
I have really enjoyed the research this evening.

It can be addicting. I spent months on the computer researching the duck club and my AA 16.

Growing up in the 50's the newspapers had a Society Page that detailed what the rich folks were doing.
