There's a whole bunch of "know nothing" going on with that auction and the Parkers involved.

Agreed. That 'write-up' could have been written by my town librarian; thoroughly familiar with books, only as to when they come and go.

I’ll be shocked if that one doesn’t hammer at LEAST at $50k❗️

The following excerpt from the description of the 34" 20 Gauge:
Possibly one of the rarest of al Parkers. After reviewing all possibilities and resources, this researcher has concluded this is the ONLY 34" BBL 20 Gauge in any grade made by Parker Bros, V though 1 special.

Really, I guess the cataloger was unfamiliar with 198466, following from the research letter:
Parker shotgun, serial number 198466, was completed on September l,1922. According to
Parker Bros. Stock Book No. 69, it was a DHE hammerless, 20-gauge with a single trigger. It featured
2 sets of Titanic Steel barrels, 34" and 28". Both sets have 7 518" chambers. Its stock configuration
was a straight grip. According to Parker Bros, Stock Book No. 69, its specifications were: Length of
Pull: 14 l/4", Drop at Comb: I 5/8", Drop at Heel: 2 l/4", Weight: 7 pounds, l5 ounces with the 34"
barrels and 7 pounds 6 ounces with the 28" barrels. The chokes were patterned RH 125 pellets and LH
230 pellets of size 8 shot in a 30" circle at 40 yards.

And then there is 113285 on page 339 of the serialization book.

I made Gunslinger Auctions aware of these errors. Their reply "the descriptions were written by a Gentleman that used to own a high end gun shop in CA", their words not mine. They had little interest in making any corrections :cuss: :banghead:

I have handled a 34” 20 gauge VH just a few years ago. Morris owns it.

I saw that description and I knew the owner of the other DHE 34" 20 gauge that I am aware of would have a laugh. The only other Gunslinger Parker auction I have filed away in the recesses of my brain was a 32" AHE 20 that sold for somewhere in the neighborhood of $80k give or take. That particular gun was well used but a very rare A grade 20 with long barrels.
