Help with this gun
I am a complete novice on buying Parkers. I own 2 but got them through family members. I am interested in buying this gun but no real idea if the price is fair or you see any concerns that should make me steer clear. I know the LOP is long. That is appealing to me as I evidently have gorilla arms and a long LOP fits me.
I appreciate any and all input. Thank you. https://www.gunsinternational.com/gu...n_id=102475813 |
The gun is what it is. If the restock dimensions work for you, that is a positive. The original wood with it is nice to have. The price is a bit steep, but beyond that, I see no issues with the gun or its description.

At that price it’s not a “steal” but I love it and would buy it.

Overpriced in my opinion. Make an offer for a lot less. It is a Grade 1 at a Grade 3 price. Just my opinion. Watch here for honestly priced and often bargains. Slip on pads make any gun fit for me.

Steve, being that the gun has the long LOP that you need, has nicely done straight stock with fancy wood and the original stock to boot, I'd say go for it. But if it were me I would make a lower offer.
You can always buy it at the full asking price if he refuses the offer. Be sure to find out if shipping is extra, and ask for that to be included in the asking price. |
Steve: Sent you a PM.... read it first......

That’s probably a $2000 stock job! The seller, I’m sure, is open to reasonable offers.

The description doesn’t say much. What does it weigh? What are barrel wall thickness? Is it a 2 3/4l gun? Etc.

I learned this morning that it’s a 1 frame. 7lbs 7 oz. Seems heavy but it has the longer stock which must add some weight and 28 inch barrels.

Whoever weighed it probably doesn't have an accurate scale. Crosnoe made it an effort to avoid picturing the rib and rib legend. Is it a Parker Steel gun?
