20 gauge BT
Looking at a 20 gauge with BT and DT, anyone own a BT 20? How do you like it? I’ve never had a chance to handle a Parker with a BT before.

I really like the PR 28ga gun with the BTF with 26" or 28" barrels, it is perportioned perfectly. The 20ga is a bit long in my opinion but is nice for hi volume shooting as the barrels do get hot! SXS Ohio

I have 2 20's and a 12 with a BT. I really like them all, especially for target shooting. I feel like I have more muzzle control after the first shot. Summertime 5-stand with a splinter is a gloves on proposition. The barrels get so hot they cannot be touched.
That said, I prefer the splinter on my grouse gun as it seems a bit quicker to get into action. Real or perceived I do not know but I prefer it when hunting. |
I have a GH 28, a VHE 20and 12 gauge. I really like the BTF’s on these 3 guns.

I prefer it. I think you would have to try both BTFE and splinter to determine which you like best. Sure does keep your hand off those hot bbls.

I owned such a gun some years ago. It was a handsome thing and I liked the appearance and function of the BT. My issue with the gun was the LOP which, in this case, measured 14.38". Doesn't sound bad, but what I learned was that a straight grip and double triggers needs more length. Watch those measurements!

The Repro Beavertail forends are very slim against the barrels. They feel nice in the hand.

I like all of mine especially when shooting targets.

At first, I thought my affinity for the 12ga BTFE gun I acquired was nothing more than new gun romance. Time told me I was mistaken. The PR BTFE feels wonderful in hand.
