Don't know what to do
Good evening to all
I have Parker 12 GA reproduction 2 barrel set that I have resantly started shooting as with all new guns I start at the pattern board and what I found with this gun is the right barrel is centered on the point of impact the left barrel witch is a full choke at 25 yards the pattern is just to the left of my aim point any thoughts on what to do looking foward to any and all thoughts all of you may have Thank you for your thoughts Alton |
Take the target to the normal full choke range, say 40 yards, and see if it is not on target.

Thanks Jerry
That was a quick response I had thought of that I was having a hard time thinking the conversion angle would make that much differance then I was wondering why the right barrel was dead on but now you have my curiosity up Thank you I know what I will be doing after work tomarrow |
You can have the full choke opened concentrically. I have an Ithaca Classic Double 28 ga. that shot low even though it had a high comb, and I wanted the chokes opened up anyway, so Briley said they could change the point of impact by opening the chokes off-center. It worked perfectly. If there's enough metal (there was not in the ICD), they can also install an off-center thin-wall choke tube.

Send it to Heritage Gun Shop in Ohio and he can change the point of impact for you. Mr Eyster has done several of my guns and always done a nice job.

I had Briley correct a 28 ga whose left barrel was a full pattern left and a full pattern low at 30 yards. They installed a choke and it is perfect now. David |
For you gentlemen who had your gun's POI altered, did the process result also in a more open pattern?
|
I had Eyster open my pattern up as he changed POI because it was much too tight. Tim has been working on chokes his entire life and learned from his father. They specialize in trap guns so they know what they are doing. Nice man to deal with as well.

Never have an AIDS test. Never have your cholesterol checked. Never pattern your shotgun. |
