Trojan barrell cut down

I recently purchased a very nice Trojan 12 guage serial # 164157 at a very reasonable price. The gun is in near perfect condition except the barrels measure 28 3/4 inches and are modified. I assume it was cut for bird hunting. It was professionaly done since you can not tell. The original hour glass gizmo is still present with no apparent sodering. How much will it devalue the gun,

What is "the original hour glass gizmo"?

If 1 1/4 inches were cut off a set of 30" barrels it very likely still has some choke. So it will never be a collector gun but will likely do what you want it to do except to cleanly kill ducks or geese at beyond forty yards.

How the gun might be devalued by the barrels being cut is pretty subjective. First, it is the lowest grade Parker made so unless it's condition otherwise is pretty darn high, any loss in value would be negligible.

When I said hour glass, I was referring to the keel on the end of the barrels.
