1878 Double Trigger

I just acquired a Parker double trigger shotgun dated 3/26/1878. It's a 12 gauge hammerless with a 30" ribbed barrel. Serial # 01505. I know it's hard to know the value without actually looking at the gun, I'm just wondering how rare this gun is and since it's in good shape what it might be worth. Also, is there an internet site dedicated to buying and selling antique guns? Thanks.

You will have to describe all markings visible when the gun is disassembled into its three components. The serial number is not correct for a Parker Brothers hammerless gun.

Pete,
I suggest you go to the parkerguns.org page and click on the "Parker Identification" link on the left side of that page. Read that over, follow its pointers and links and it should help you determine if you have a Parker Bros. shotgun discussed here or some other Parker maker's gun. If it is a Parker Bros. shotgun, that information will help you to determine what grade Parker it may be.
