Damascus Rib Pattern
4 Attachment(s)
I always enjoy seeing the ribs of Damascus barrels when refinishing them. How the ribs were milled seems to have a big effect on the pattern that shows. Here is a 10g Dgrade I’m finishing up that has a bottom rib pattern that looks a bit like English laminate to me. Or was it just the way the rib was milled? Interested to hear any opinions.

To me the rib looks like a similar Damascus pattern as the barrels.
I can see somewhat distorted four-point white stars in the rib that I can see in the barrel pattern, if you compare the white four-point stars in each. I believe it's just the way the rib was milled. . |
Hmmm I’m sure someone will be pleased
