Well, I'll be damned. Say it Ain't So.

Many years ago, Jerry Andrews did a long, protracted trade, where I ended up with two 16bore, lightened receiver top lever hammer guns. Their SN#s were 55,094, and 55,096.
The serialization book shows 3 consecutive guns, all as above. All I needed to find was 55,095. Yeah, Right!
As they were not really consecutive, and I had others, I eventually sold them. Both went to members, and I know one was resold, as it shows up at Mr. Barnett's site (Right, Eric?)
The other went to the Pea Picker.
Well, damned if what didn't show up on the Morphy Auction site:

It will be very interesting to see what that one goes for, including all premiums and commissions... e.g., the acquisition price.

Wow! Wouldn't it be something if all three wound up together?

Strange things happen in this world . . . IE: Bill Murphy and the Charleston CH 2 barrel set

The original purchasers of 094 and 096 were both in New England; one in Worcester area, the other in VT. I never bothered to get a letter for 095 because I exhausted any hope of finding it.

I once owned 74443, 74446 and 74625 - all Grade 1 guns with Laminated Steel barrels in 16 gauge with the lightened 0-frame and all had the fishtail lever. Two of them were 28" and one was 26" - the only one made with 26" barrels in this configuration.

Edgar, it would have been a wonderful stroke of luck if you had found 095 when you had its sisters!

I think I have seen at least one of these guns, if it is the member from Vermont I am thinking of. Those 16 hammer guns of that era are things of beauty. My G 16 is in the 53,000 sn range
