Las Vegas Vintage Arms Show?
Will there be a PGCA presence at the show in Vegas? If so, who will be manning the booth?
|
and when is this show?
|
Beaver Bob,
It will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday January 23, 24 and 25, 2015. Dealer set up and Honored Guest Badges can get in on Thursday, the 22nd. Held at the Riviera Casino and Hotel. A great show with lots of old doubles, Colt's, Winchester's, etc. |
I will be there with the team from James D. Julia auctions. I don't think the PGCA has any formal presence at the show but do come visit me at our booth or special display room.
|
Will do Josh!
|
I will be there Thursday, Friday and Saturday. When I am not walking around I will be sitting with Angelo Bee. Please stop and say hello.
|
I will be there with Dave Noreen manning the Fox Collectors booth. Please stop by introduce yourself and say Hi! Craig
|
Craig, if you see any .410, 28 or 20 bore hammer guns, point me to them! I'm looking for European guns as shooters. Don't want any overpriced American collector items.
|
I think JDJ will have at least 1 A1S in our displays....

engravers guild meeting
I'll be going to Vegas to visit my fellow engravers at Riviera Hotel for the Firearms Engravers Guild of America meeting,I'll also go to the antique gun show.J.J.Roberts

My father and I will have our usual table in the antique arms show. I am taking mostly 20 gauge guns this year. I will have some nice Parker, Browning, and Winchester 20 bore guns for sale and a few 12ga guns and vintage cases as well. Please stop by and introduce yourself.

Be careful around the Lien table for the father and son team will surely sell you something! Not to worry though because whatever you buy will have been purchased for a fair price. :)

You're killing me David. Super nice! It's almost worth a trip to LV just to see those beauties.
|
David, do any of those twenties have long barrels?
|
Bill, read David's post carefully!
|
Wow, nice looking 20's there David. I'll be sure to stop by and check them out. I'll be there Thursday through Sunday, mostly rubbing elbows with the guys at the Fox Booth and keeping an eye out for guns like these!

I am here at the show in Las Vegas. It's quite impressive but impossible to navigate. Is anyone here that has seen a decent lifter gun for sale aside from the one at the Julia booth? Its a grade 2 estimated sale of $10,000.00. Thanks in advance.

Spent 3 days at the show and found it easy to get around and find who/what I was looking for. Nice being able to put faces on some names from both the Fox and Parker sites. The Leins had some sweet Parker 20's!! I found .410, 28 and 20g hammer guns I was looking for. Next trip will be graded guns from Fox and Parker. 😍

Well I was there all three days. Dropped a gun off for doug turnbull to work on. Met with Frank Allegra and had good conversation about us members on the west coast. It was a pleasure meeting him. I looked at the elmer keith collection at the James Julia Auction booth as well as what I presume is the A1 special Mario Mori posted about on this forum. I spent some time bothering Mr. Noreen who is friendly as always. Talking to Patrick Lien and his father. Spent some time at the Lefever booth staring at some amazing stuff. I never did get to see Mr. Lowenstiener(sp?) or Mr. Ouellette. Now for what I saw for sale. I saw a couple VH 28 ga a VH .410. Then there were repros as usual for a price to be expected. The stuff I found interesting was a 8 bore single rifle for 15000 William Evans I think, a 6 bore French flintlock rifle never seen a large bore flintlock rifle before, then there was a muzzleloading 8 gauge shotgun for 1500, then there was a 10 ga l.c. smith that Charlie would have loved looked to be a grade 2 and built on an 8 gauge frame massive breach and what appeared to be a benard pattern barrel for 700. I came home with 2 8 gauge davenports for a price that I could not refuse and a box of eley 8 ga from Mr. Liens table.
|
Eldon, how about the side cocker and the drilling on the Lefever table? WOW!! Same foe
r the Fox M grade and the Winchester "moped" at Julia's? |
how long are the barrels on them davenport 8 ga s...i would have loved that old lc smith ten ga....and that was a good price on that gun....charlie

Sorry, I missed you! I was there but may have been otherwise preoccupied... This is Ms. Barbara Fausti who is not only beautiful and speaks with her lovely Italian accent, she is very knowledgeable about the guns which she and her sisters make. A woman who can talk guns  http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps61bb1d8b.jpg A couples days prior at the Shot Shot I handled every fine double there. The 28 gauge Fausti handled the best and far better than the Perazzi which cost 3 times more! http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps563f24bf.jpg |

I didn't get to go around to much, was to busy at our tables with only a few Doubles but mostly Winchester Rifles, but had the pleasure of meeting Mike and his lovely wife Susan Koneski,, Dave Noreen,Pat and David Lien,Bill Jolliff, Brian Hornacek and maybe someone stopped by that I don't know. I hope I didn't misspell anyone's name.I also was drooling over the Winchester motorcycle.I took a very poor quality photo as I walked by. Thomas

Charlie both the davenports are 36'' and choked over .030. The L.C. was in rough shape but I agree still a good price. Mark I cant compete with that company so I cant blame you. Thomas I really wish I had known you were there we could have wasted away the time talking guns. I forgot to mention that one of the Lefever guys mentioned that a man came up a little before I was there with a CE 8 gauge lefever in rough condition but still how often do you see a graded 8 gauge lefever.
|
Eldon: If you get a chance post a couple photo's of your Davenports.I will make sure I meet you next year. Thomas
