Grace's last romp as a virgin - today we bring her to northern Vermont to breed her with Coronation's Burdock, sire to many beautiful puppies.

I hope all goes well and I am sure that Coronation's Burdock will be a gentleman. Early Fall romance is in the air! Keep us in the loop!

Brett Hoop 09-12-2017 05:07 PM

Well Thanksgiving will be at your house and you'll have a few more mouths to feed.

Dean Romig 09-12-2017 05:10 PM

Grace will be feeding those extra mouths.

You will at least be able to get some hunting in before whelping time. Charlie is due this weekend give or take a day.
I think you will enjoy the puppies.....until it's time to see them off to new homes, that's a tough one.

Dean Romig 09-12-2017 08:51 PM

That's what everybody says Rich, that it's hard to let the puppies go.

Fall love coming

Congrats Dean nothing like being a father again. Rich is right tough to let them go!!!

Rich Anderson 09-13-2017 08:20 AM

We have had two litters of puppies and it's amazing how fast they become part of the family.

Harold Lee Pickens 09-13-2017 09:13 PM

Yeah, I did not take everyones advise, an kept 2 from my litter.

Doodle and Willow (Willie)

We're back from Coronation Kennels and a very nice visit with Legh and Jen Higgins, the owners of Coronation Kennels and the Twombly line of English setters.

It appears to have been a very successful breeding but the proof is in the pudding, as they say.

No he didn't and it didn't matter at all... It was lust at first sight.

.

legh higgins 09-16-2017 05:41 PM

If I may say so this is a special blend of 3 Twombly setters all traced back to my granddads Coronation kennel, Corey Fords bird dogs Cider and his son Tober. both parents are proven wild bird hunting dogs that live in the home with their people. This is a great opportunity:) to get an exceptional Bird Dog.

Dean

looks more like the law being laid down than lust raised up

we can see who set the - shall we say - rules of "engagement"

Dean Romig 09-16-2017 08:32 PM

Well, they settled it very quickly - both of their tails were wagging furiously.

Next morning Grace was abundantly eager to 'play' with Burdock again, just for a shot of insurance.
