Parker Repro serial numbers
 

Anybody know why the Parker Repro serial numbers on the barrels have an extra "0" that the serial number on the frame does not have. Example: serial number on frame 20-2079, serial number on barrel 20-02079. Check all my PR's and the nomenclature is the same.

I can only speculate about the additional zero's on the frame. The action of the gun is what is considered by the fed's as being the gun. The rest of it is only accessory additions to the action.

I imagine that there was anticipation to manufacture & sell many more Parker Repro's than were actually made. They probably added the extra digit to the action number in anticipation of future needs.
