hoppkins and allens

trade for a little hopkins and allens single shot 22 rifle today...has been redone by somebody works ok but just to shiney but will make a great little hang it on the wall ...the gun has a octogon barrel and its a little longer barrel than most...got a fine buckhorn site on it and its a take down model with a ring through the takedown screw in the bottom of gun...only markings on gun are hoppkins and allens and 22 rim fire on barrel and all this is on the barrel.. thought this unusal most of these little guns had markings on the tang or flat side of reciever...any body know anything about these little rifles.... charlie
