20ga 2 3/4" 3/4oz Cheddite hull recipe??
Anyone have a tested low pressure reloading recipe for 20 ga 2 3/4" Cheddite/RST hull using the Claybuster 3/4oz wad. I prefer unique powder and Remington 209 primers.

Craig I'm using 20/28 powder with the CB wad in the 2 1/2 RST hull. I use Win 209 primers. I can weigh a powder charge for you if you wish. I used Unique in the 20ga with the AA hull but haven't loaded one of those in decades.

Craig, not a tested recipe but I've loaded the Claybuster 3/4oz wad in both 12 and 20ga in straight walled hulls (ie. Cheddite, Fiocchi, RST, etc.). I'd have no problem throwing 15-15.4gr Unique with the CB 1075-20 wad and your Rem209 primer. I see the pressure at 8000psi or less. Before I found 20/28 my go to powder was Unique and 4756. 20/28 gives a lower pressure at the same velocity and calls for one grain less.

Craig, I used Unique in 3/4 oz loads 20ga 2 1/2" hulls with the green claybuster 3/4 wad. The data is in my book at home, am at work now.

8 # jug of Unique got me through the powder shortage few years ago. Went back to 20/28 for 20 G loads after . Recently running out of 20/28 pulled the Unique jug out for 3/4 oz shells.
I like it better than 20/28 for straight wall cases like Remington STS & Gun Clubs & 3/4 oz using the Claybuster 3/4 wad. It’s bulkier fills the hull and crimps well. Cheddite hull capacity similar to GC expect you will find the same. Might want to call Alliant & confirm. Their on line data has lots of published loads for Remington hulls none for Cheddites. http://www.alliantpowder.com/reloade...eid=3&gauge=20 Compare 20/28 data with Unique same components 20/28 has lower pressure, either one produces “low” pressure. Sorry it took so long Craig. I used RST 20 hulls and cheddite hulls cut to 2 1/2"
