I've hunted with them over in the UK, never in the US other than just fooling around shooting some clays.

I have killed a turkey with mine. That was a hoot for sure. Would like to take it duck hunting, but would have to go to the UK like Destry.

Does anyone know if an 8 gauge is legal for ducks in Canada?

Bill Murphy 06-01-2017 05:48 PM

i hope to get hunting this fall with the 8 ga just bought from precision loading 500 once fired remington hulls...the new winchester hulls are kinda pricey but the load looks real good as you can see the load....if any body needs hulls for the 8 ga now is the time to get some they even got some wads too....you really need some thing to heat up the mouth of these hulls dont they are hard to reloadanybody out there got some suggestions on this....

Charlie I have shot 2 turkeys in New Mexico with mine, still have not shot a Gobbler in AZ. Called in and shot a coyote, and a few Eurasian dove have been taken. Fun gun but pretty heavy for the country we hunt around here. It's a Quality R top lever hammer gun on a 7 frame with 36" Twist barrels patterned for " Goose Shot"
