28 ga Parker’s with 24” barrels
Is there any information available to know how many Parker 28 ga VH shotguns were produced with 24” barrels? There are very few in this configuration that are typically offered for sale and I am curious to know if this suggests they are rare when compared to 26” or longer barrels.

In the table of “short barreled Parkers” at the end of Vol. II of The Parker Story most Parkers with barrel lengths of 24” or shorter are listed. Unfortunately they are not all there.

In the Grades Section of volume one it states 38 VH 28 gauge.

38 guns with 24" barrels and only 15 with 32" barrels. What were these people thinking ! No wonder I can't find one.

You missed your chance at one of the 15 as a 32 inch 28 is listed as sold on Guns International. He who hesitates is lost:rotf: I have a couple of 32 inch 16's and a 20 but prefer 30's. They just seem a little more dynamic to me.

I have never discriminated on barrel length. My meager collection embraces length's from 26 to 32.
