Truck Gun Vaults

I am considering a vault for my Ford Expedition and would like some recommendations.
Ive never taken my guns overnite but a drive to SC is a long trip.
So... what does anyone think?
Ive been to the TruckVault website.
What other brands are there?

(Rationalizing) The crooks could always steal your truck...

Bring your guns inside your hotel room with you.

I would do that anyway but parking at restaurants, shops, etc scare me.

Out of sight-Out of mind. I've had one for over 15 yrs. and would never own a vehicle without one. You will store more than your guns in there. Truck Vault is top of the line and very secure. I travel to shoot and hunt quite a bit and always leave my guns locked up in the truck. Have a safe trip to S. Carolina.

I had the Truck Vault in my last Suburban. Unfortunately, it would not fit in the new generation Suburban or my 4 Runner, so it went away with the truck. It was a wonderful accessory, but expensive.

Get a beat up truck and hide them under the back seat. A crook looks at my truck and keeps on walking . . .

I made a false floor by putting in a piece of 5/8" plywood cut to dimension, then uplifted on a pair of 2 X 6's. Altho it's not as secure as the Truck vault, no one can see what's under the "floor"

I remember when my contemporaries used to break into houses that they always chose the beat up ones. The McMansions had no cash, had costume jewelry and never had guns. The beat up ones always had cash and guns. Just saying....

Maybe I need to change strategies.
