I'm on a mission to reduce the collection but will still jump on good Fox small bores when I find them. Here's a recent acquisition that came out of the mountains of northcentral PA - 1919/20 Phila Sterlingworth Ejector gun, the lightest 16 bore Fox I've ever owned: 5 - 14 on a digital postal scale, 26-inch tubes (stamped 3-weight) choked about IC and Mod. Of course the cheek checker panels were done post-factory.
Man, does she come up nice. Drop 2-3/4 and LOP is a hair short of 14-1/4. Watch out grouse! |
Real nice

Frank I got one just like it with 28 inch barrels same weight with 2 1/2 drop inch at heel. Bobby

That's a bird getter for all day hunting! I have an A grade 16 with 28 inch barrels that weighs just at 5 lbs 13 oz. It has a bit too much drop for me, but has taken a grouse or two (and some quail). They are a pleasure to carry.
Enjoy that gun! |
The checkered cheek pieces look nice on that gun. That’s probably how it should’ve been done at the factory.
